Overview

Outline
This session explores the successful practices and pedagogies adopted by science teachers at Dwight Global Online School, the first K-12 institution to pilot the IBDP fully online. We will examine the transformative role of Virtual Reality (VR) in developing scientific laboratory skills and highlight the most effective strategies for implementing VR in virtual classrooms to achieve optimal learning outcomes.

Additionally, we will delve into the powerful combination of VR and AI tutors, showcasing their potential to enhance student learning and shape the future of education. By leveraging these tools, science practicals become more accessible and cost-effective, facilitated by portable hardware and software solutions.

We will also discuss how VR and AI contribute to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal of equitable education access, breaking down barriers to high-quality science instruction worldwide. Through real-world case studies and classroom evidence, we will demonstrate the impact of these technologies in modern education.

This session is designed for educators, administrators, researchers, and anyone interested in leveraging digital tools to transform learning. Join us as we explore how VR and AI tutors are shaping a new era of interactive, engaging, and equitable education.

Learning Outcomes
1. Participants will learn how Virtual Reality and AI tutors can be effectively implemented in K-12 and higher education to enhance student engagement, scientific literacy, and practical skills development.

2. Attendees will discover how VR and AI can improve accessibility and support the UN's Sustainable Development Goal of equitable education for all, particularly in STEM fields.
