It is our pleasure to announce that the 2024 Education Accrediting Body of the Year is awarded to International Education Accreditation Council (IEAC) of the UK. Congratulations to IEAC. The judges found that their web site was clear and transparent and that the application process was explained and easy to follow. All documentation was clearly shown, including the standards required to obtain accreditation. These were set out clearly in a neat table and enabled an institution to gather information through undertaking a self- evaluation of their systems. The judges also thought that they demonstrated equality and diversity in that their governance was constituted of qualified academics from 7 different countries and had a good mix of male and female members. The inspectors employed by IEAC were also a good mix of nationalities and gender and were extremely well experienced and qualified.
IEAC also conducted their inspections in a friendly but supportive manner, offering advice on areas for improvement both during the inspection and in the summative report. Institutions reported that the help and guidance they received after inspection was very useful and enabled them to forma academic partnerships for the benefit of both institutions and their students. They also reported that it was refreshing to find an accrediting body who did what they say they would do as several had been with other accrediting bodies who did not fulfil their promises. In essence, they ‘did what was said on the can’
