About DPU

Dhurakij Pundit University was founded on 30 May 1968 by Dr. Sawai Suthipitak and Ajarn Sanan Ketudat. It began with a single Faculty of Business Administration and later grew into a full university in 1984. In 1989, the university moved to its current 100-plus-rai campus on Prachachuen Road, Bangkok, to support its continued expansion.
In 2004, DPU established its International College (IC) to serve students seeking English-medium instruction. This was followed by the Chinese International College (CIC) in 2010, created to strengthen academic engagement with the region’s growing Chinese-speaking student population. In 2008, DPU became the only private university in Thailand to receive the highest “Excellent” rating for internal quality assurance from Thailand’s Office of the Higher Education Commission, an honour shared that year with Chulalongkorn University and Chiang Mai University.
Since 2016, the university has been led by Dr. Darika Lathapipat under the strategic vision “NEW DNA.” This vision reflects DPU’s commitment to developing ethical, capable citizens and future-ready business professionals who can contribute to Thailand’s sustainable economic growth

Mission

“Business People Build the Nation.” DPU was founded on the belief that ethical and capable business professionals play an important role in national development.

Strategic Vision (“NEW DNA”)

DPU aims to be a driving force for new-generation business and sustainable economic growth. The university focuses on producing graduates who are job-ready, industry-relevant, and equipped with the skills, ethics, and adaptability needed for the future workforce.
