Historical Background
The establishment of SJTS fulfills a century-old vision of the Syriac Orthodox faithful in North America. Officially founded in 2025, it became the first Syriac Orthodox seminary in North America. The seminary was inaugurated on September 16, 2025, by His Holiness Moran Mor Ignatius Aphrem II.
